The format that keeps everyone in
- Rounds of 60–90 seconds — long enough for drama, short enough that waiting players stay engaged.
- Rotate the phone clockwise after every round; nobody sits out more than a few minutes.
- Teams of two for groups of six-plus — shared guessing halves the pressure and doubles the shouting.
- Score on paper with a running total; a visible scoreboard changes everything.
House rules that produce laughs
- Loser's category: whoever loses a round picks (and suffers) the next category.
- Silent round: clue-givers can only gesture — instant chaos, pure classic charades.
- Language round: if your group is bilingual, switch the app's language for one round (it supports four).
